Blessing Ways are a North American Indian tradition
to mark the transition from maiden to mother.
This rite of passage is the second 'blood rite'
for a woman, the first being her first menstruation.
It is a time of receiving for the mother to be,
a time where she is nurtured and honoured
by her community of women.

As well as celebrating the coming of a new baby,
a Blessingway is a wonderful occasion to gather
the most trusted and special friends and family
to celebrate the mother to be. This occasion
focuses on the ongoing support throughout
the transition into motherhood.

After an initial consultation we will completely organise your Blessingway ceremony. As a team with Rebecca Bates Doula & Henna Heaven Body Art, we lead the ceremony and prepare your space whilst offering empowering birth knowledge and skilled pampering.

Each party can be tailored to your own needs & beliefs and can include massage & reflexology, belly art or traditional ceremonies to help deal with any fears and to honour the transition into motherhood.

The emphasis is firmly on creating a web of support for the expectant mother and her closest female friends and family. Lead the way with this truly meaningful & original gift that will leave the whole group feeling closely bonded and the expectant mother glowing.
